Bridenstine Tours Sill, Says He’s Satisfied

Tulsa World

FORT SILL — First District Rep. Jim Bridenstine said he was satisfied with the transparency at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ juvenile facility at Fort Sill after his tour on Saturday.

Less than two weeks after first being denied entry, Bridenstine said his mission is to secure the border from undocumented immigrants and put an end to human trafficking — an activity encouraged by current policies, he said.

“We need folks in Central America to understand that if you come here you are probably not going to come in, and if you do make it in you’re not going to be able to stay,” Bridenstine said.

Bridenstine made a point to praise the work being done by employees and volunteers to help the children, adding that the quality of the facility is not in question.
