Governor Fallin’s formation of a group to study seismic activity drew praise today from Chad Warmington, President of the Oklahoma Oil & Gas Association.
“We applaud the Governor for creating the Coordinating Council on Seismic Activity. We are looking forward to working with the Governor and the Council to help coordinate the ongoing efforts to better understand the increase of seismic activity. Oklahoma has always led the nation in developing proactive practices for addressing regulatory issues that impact the oil and gas industry. The formation of the Coordinating Council is another great example of a measured and balanced approach to ensuring the health and welfare of all Oklahomans while properly addressing issues that affect the State’s most important industry.”
