What’s to become of the American Indian Cultural Center and Museum? House members are discussing possible solutions to complete the half-finished complex: http://newsok.com/oklahoma-house-members-meet-to-discuss-way-forward-for-okcs-american-indian-cultural-center-and-museum/article/5344927
This project should never have been started! It’s not the role of state government to be in the museum business! I’m all for returning the land to the city.
I am proud of the House.
Question – just how much does Blake Wade, executive director of the center, make, and how does he earn his keep? Is he part of the $700,000 upkeep cost?
I have an answer to what should become of the center, and it involves bulldozers.
I am ashamed of a house that this year had the best option in using the unclaimed monies to finish the project but would rather let the politics of naysaying keep them from finishing a historical and cultural center that would bring visitors to our state,
To waste what is already there and potentially lose the land back to OKC is a waste of what was spent and those who voted against it ought to be voted out of office for pure stupidity.
