District Two Oklahoma County Commissioner Brian Maughan was elected to a second consecutive term as chairman of the Board of County Commissioners Monday at the board’s first meeting of the year.
Maughan was first elected county commissioner in 2008 and was re-elected in 2012. Fellow commissioners Ray Vaughn and Willa Johnson joined in nominating him for a second term as chairman.
The chairman presides over weekly BOCC meetings and represents the county on a number of boards and committees.
“I am honored to have once again earned the confidence of my peers,” Maughan said.
