The Senate will convene on Tuesday at noon. Members will certify election results of the 2014 State Senate races and will formally elect the next President Pro Tempore of the Senate. The President Pro Tem Elect is Brian Bingman, R-Sapulpa. This will be his third term as the leader of the Senate.
Members will also adopt the rules under which they will operate for the next two years, elect the Secretary of the Senate, approve committee membership and address other administrative issues. The members will then adjourn in order to convene in joint session at 2 pm to certify the remaining election results from 2014. The Legislature will then adjourn until February 2nd.
