Special elections to fill the Senate District 11 seat in Tulsa will begin with the filing period January 19-21.
Governor Fallin set the dates to fill the seat held by Senator Jabar Shumate, D-Tulsa, who resigned in December.
The special primary is set for April 7, and the special general election is set for June 9. If a primary election is not necessary, the general election will be held April 7.
