Senator Roger Thompson endorsed Republican State Chairman Dave Weston for reelection today in a message:
This past year was a great year for the Republican Party in Senate District 8. To my knowledge, the first Republican State Senator was elected in November. For me personally, it was also a great year. I am honored and humbled to serve as the first Republican State Senator from District 8.
Dave Weston was a major influence in my running and winning. The candidate workshop in Tulsa was a positive beginning point in my campaign. Dave and his staff followed up throughout my campaign working to assist me on any request.
In Senate District 8, where Democrats still out number Republicans almost three to one, I believe it is important to keep a positive balanced approach to state leadership.
For the reasons stated above, I gladly and enthusiastically endorse Dave Weston for State Chairman.
