SD11 Voters To Elect Shumate Replacement Today

Voters in state Senate District 11, in parts of Tulsa and Osage counties, will choose a new senator in a special election today. Results will be on TMR as soon as possible.

Democrats Kevin Matthews, Heather Nash and Regina Goodwin are contending for the Senate seat that has been vacant since Jabar Shumate’s resignation in January.

No Republican or independent filed for the position, and special elections have no runoffs, so the candidate finishing first on Tuesday will be the winner.

SD 11 includes downtown Tulsa and southeast Osage County and reaches as far east as Memorial Drive and as far north as 66th Street North.
