Brogdon Seeks Donations From GOP Legislators

brogdon2Republican State Chairman Randy Brogdon has asked GOP county officers to urge their legislators to donate to the cash-strapped Party.

Brogdon made the request during a recent meeting. The inference is that, while Brogdon has said fundraising is doing well, GOP legislators in numbers have not donated.

In fact, Brogdon said the “vast majority” of legislators have not donated.

Asked about it by The McCarville Report, Brogdon replied:

“I have been pleased from the overwhelming support from members of both the state House and the state Senate. There have been a number of leaders from both chambers who have stepped up to the plate to support the party. However, I have been encouraging members of the legislature as well as the State Committee, county party leadership, and  every office in between to join to become a Minuteman or Elephant Club member. Although these programs are a minimal monthly donation of just $8.25 to be a Minuteman or $82.50 to be an Elephant Club member, they provide the State Party with the funds to equip our county parties and our activists with the tools necessary to advance the cause of Republicanism. For more information on how to become a club member, please visit www.OKGOP.com/minuteman-2/”

According to Brogdon’s quote he said that legislatures have donated very well but you say that he says they didn’t. Contradict much?
