Former Senate President Pro Tem Mike Morgan took the stand today in his own defense, asserting he did not take money from a company to influence legislation.
Morgan said he’s an attorney and a $5,000 per month retainer was for legal work.
Prosecutors allege Morgan did no legal work for the firm.
Morgan testified late this morning and resumed this afternoon.
