Tulsa Senator Brian Crain today defended the selection of a remote Tulsa County site as the place where an interim study hearing on civil asset forfeiture will take place.
Crain is vice chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee chaired by Senator Anthony Sykes of Moore. The site selection has raised questions about why it was chosen when most interim study hearings are conducted at the Capitol.
Crain told The McCarville Report, “The site was chosen by Senator Sykes, he discussed with me the idea of having it in Tulsa and I supported the idea. Personally it is much more convenient for me but I was certainly willing to drive to Oklahoma City again. I appreciate the fact that Senator Sykes wants to open this interim study up to those outside the Oklahoma City area.”
Sounds like a meaningless Hillary excuse.
