It’s a sad day in the history of our State when a liberal Supreme Court can superimpose their political agenda over the will of the legislature, the governor and the people of Oklahoma. Friends, the removal of the Ten Commandments is only the latest chapter in the sad story of how the balance of power among the three branches has been skewed in favor of the courts.
Being disgusted with the current state of affairs is not enough. We as private citizens must unite to restore the balance of power and ensure that all three branches of government are co-equals, just as our Founders intended. I for one will not sit idly by and do nothing; I am working on an initiative to address this important issue. When the time comes for action, I hope you’ll join me.
As for the Ten Commandments, there is a reason God instructed His people to hide them in our hearts: He knew this day was coming. While this comes as a symbolic blow to the heritage of our country, we are still One Nation Under God. It’s time that we remind all of our government leaders of this.
