Oklahoman Stuart Jolly has emerged as a key adviser to Republican  presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Jolly, a retired military officer with experience at several prominent political organizations who last was executive political director of the Education Freedom Alliance, was captured in a national television report standing next to Trump following his New Hampshire victory.

Jolly told The McCarville Report he was asked to take charge of Trump’s “ground game” in New Hampshire, and did so. He said he now moves to South Carolina after a stop at home in Oklahoma City.

Another website reports, of Jolly, “But while the campaign has shifted resources into the first primary state, that move amounted to a single staffer — Stuart Jolly, a former Americans for Prosperity operative brought onto the campaign to focus on the Southern states that vote on March 1.

“One person familiar with the move said Jolly was brought in because New Hampshire state director Matt Ciepielowski, a 2011 college graduate, was ‘in over his head.’

“Another person said the campaign has always planned to push Jolly to New Hampshire in the weeks before the Iowa caucuses when Lewandowski, a New Hampshire resident, shifted his focus to the first voting contest.”
