Special Session Could Be Called to Spend $100 Million Surplus

The Oklahoman’s Rick Green examines what the options are for spending the $100 million budget surplus, including a possible special session. State agencies were forced to take across the board cuts this fiscal year due to revenue failures. However, the cuts were more than enough creating a large surplus while agencies were finding ways to cut spending.

    Now we have the money to pay for a another special session. Since our Legislature wasted most of their time before announcing a state budget. Remember last year we had a special session so Fallon could satisfy her debts to the tort reformers. That didn’t go well with it being mostly overturned by well knowing Supreme Court Judges.
