Lankford to Take Part in Monday’s Physician-Assisted Suicide Debate

Senator James Lankford is taking part in the Heritage Foundation’s event, Physician-Assisted Suicide: Stories From the Frontline of the “Always Care, Never Kill” Debate taking place Monday afternoon. It is meant to explore the societal impacts due to the spread of legalized physician-assisted suicide in America. Over the past 20 years, more than 100 legislative proposals on the state level have been considered. The District of Columbia is the latest to legalize physician-assisted suicide.

Back in January, Lankford took on the issue by introducing a resolution of disapproval to overturn D.C.’s “The Death with Dignity Act of 2015.”

Other panels include medical professionals, clergy, and elder care analysts.

The event begins at 2pm central time and can be viewed at this link.
