Inhofe, Lankford Vote to Confirm Wray as FBI Director

Both U.S. Senators Jim Inhofe and James Lankford voted Tuesday to confirm Christopher Wray as the next director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Wray was nominated by President Trump after he fired James Comey.

Inhofe believes Wray is the right man for the job right now.

“We are facing greater threats from around the globe than I have seen in my lifetime. Strong leadership at all of our national intelligence agencies is essential for our national security. Christopher Wray is a competent and capable leader who has received support from across the political spectrum and I am pleased the Senate has confirmed him to lead the FBI.”

Wray won confirmation by a 92-5 vote.
