AG Hunter Rules Sheriff’s Association Must Adhere to Openness Laws

The Oklahoma Sheriffs’ Association must follow the same open meeting and open records laws as public bodies because it is supported in part by public funds according to Attorney General Mike Holder. The Oklahoman’s Nolan Clay writes Rep. Bobby Cleveland requested the AG opinion. The Sheriffs’ Association is being sued in federal court for a program which charges criminals 30 percent more if their overdue fines are turned over to a collection agency.

    Our Oklahoma has been a corrupt, third world banana republic for a long time. This article gives us only a glimpse of the rot. We are just tax cattle to “our” governments.

    Oklahoma officials dont adhere to laws, they will find a way around this or just ingnore it like any laws they dont like.
