NY Times: After Confronting Pruitt, EPA Officials Sidelined

It appears a handful of high level EPA employees were shuffled around after raising concerns about Administrator Scott Pruitt’s spending. The New York Times Eric Lipton, Kenneth Vogel and Lisa Friedman write about five officials being reassigned or demoted shortly after they confronted or advised against excessive spending on travel, furniture, office remodeling (which included a “sound proof” room) and security issues. The demotions include an employee who is a Trump Administration appointee and has close ties to Vice President Pence.
