AG Office Believes Oklahoma Taxpayers Unite Petition Should Move Forward

The Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office believes the initiative petition to repeal a set of tax increases meant to pay for teacher salary increases should move forward despite some minor issues in its language. The Oklahoman’s Chris Casteel writes the Oklahoma Supreme Court asked for the AG Office opinions as it prepares to hear challenges from the Association of Professional Oklahoma Educators and the Oklahoma Education Association against the Oklahoma Taxpayers Unite’s petition to repeal the taxes.
