Surge in Oklahoma Independent, Libertarian Voters

The Oklahoma Election Board notes there is a surge of voter registrations ahead of the June 26 primaries and a higher than normal trend of new voters choosing to register as independents or as Libertarians. The Oklahoman’s Chris Casteel writes more than 45,000 new voter registrations have been filed so far this year, and the two mainstream political parties, Republicans and Democrats, still hold a healthy lead in registrations.
