Mullin Agrees with Trump Decision to Move Forward with Steel, Aluminum Tariffs

President Trump moved forward with tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada, Mexico and the European Union on Friday. Congressman Markwayne Mullin agrees with the move.

“I fully support President Trump’s decision to levy tariffs on the EU, Canada, and Mexico for steel and aluminum tariffs,” said Mullin.  “President Trump is doing exactly what he said he would—putting America first and bringing other countries back to the negotiating table.  For years, countries have been taking advantage of our relaxed trade deals.  Enough is enough. Companies inside the U.S. need to be able do business in other countries, just like other countries come to do business inside our country.  By moving forward with the tariffs, he is bringing countries back to the negotiating table.  I applaud President Trump for continuing to deliver on his promises to negotiate the best trade deals possible for the American people.”
