It appears that Oklahoma voters aren’t as active as many other states. Wallet Hub ranks the Sooner State as the 39th most politically active state in the Union.
According to the Wallet Hub study, nationwide, a total of 61.4 percent of the voting age population cast a ballot in the 2016 presidential election. During the previous midterm election in 2014 only 36.4 percent voted.
The District of Columbia is the most politically engaged “state”, while New Mexico is at the bottom.
