Public Education Will Continue Despite Call from Canadian Co GOP

State GOP Chairwoman Pam Pollard also distanced the state party from the Canadian County party. Lopez believes the Republican lawmakers are walking away from party principals.

If this status quo Republicans continue to allow public education to go down the same old road, without reform; then education in Oklahoma will continue to fail the students, the parents and the state of Oklahoma. Oklahoma education DOES NOT NEED more money thrown at the problem, nor new buildings: IT NEEDS long overdue REFORM. School consolidation, merit pay, longer school days, long school year and PUT all the teachers (coaches) in the classroom the full day and moved sports and extracurricular activities to AFTER school. We have to many lazy, poor, burned out teachers just going along and now growing in the profession. Hurting everyone.

That illegal strike or walk out, showed us the low quality of teachers we have. We cannot support those actions.

We HAVE TO REFORM Education in Oklahoma,
