While it seems progress is being made, there is yet another deadline extension in the negotiations between wind farm developer NextEra and the Department of Defense. They are in talks about a mitigation plan for NextEra’s wind farm west of Hinton which is along a route of military training airspace.
The new deadline is December 10.
The Oklahoma Strategic Military Planning Commission (OSMPC) claimed changes to federal law forced the mitigation plan negotiations.
