Wright Voted Out of OK GOP State Committee

Because Rep. Harold Wright donated to a Democrat friend’s campaign for a legislative seat, the Oklahoma Republican Executive Committee expelled him from the State Committee. Sooner Politics reports the action took place earlier this week.

We have reached a new low in the Republican Party for this to happen. When you lose your freedom for donating to a candidate of your choice, no matter which party, we have reached a new low. I don’t like it.

Although Rep Wright was helping elect a person whose first vote in the new legislature will go against the Pro Life Agenda the GOP stands for. All Republicans should be guided by the GOP Platform which defines our principles.

However all that being said, I still have Democratic friends who are more Republican than some Republicans I know and have run across many Democrats running as Republicans. I think we must really start calling out the wolves in sheep’s clothing because just saying you are Republican does not always make you the best choice.
