Stitt, Banking Dept Encourage Banks to Help Those Impacted by Government Shutdown

Fresh from his inauguration, Governor Stitt is teaming up with the Oklahoma State Banking Department to help out those impacted by the partial federal government shutdown. Stitt has recommended that the Banking Department ask Oklahoma’s financial institutions to accommodate those customers, which could include adjustments to existing loans or new credit to support immediate cash flow needs.

The Banking Department also declared it would not criticize efforts taken by a financial institution to help its impacted customers while the government shutdown continues.
