In another interesting turn, Epic Charter School’s attorney sent a “cease and desist” letter to Oklahoma Senator Ron Sharp. Epic claims Sharp is making defamatory remarks. Tulsa World’s Andrea Eger writes Sharp is critical of the state’s largest virtual charter school, and the letter gives him seven days to retract his statements or Epic will take “immediate legal action.”
Epic is currently under investigation by the OSBI. The school system has denied any wrongdoing.
