A coalition calling itself People Not Politicians filed Monday an initiative petition asking voters to change the redistricting process in Oklahoma. Tulsa World’s Randy Krehbiel writes it would create a committee of citizens to perform the redistricting process have the Census is taken. Currently, the process is in the hands of Legislative leadership, and the petition doesn’t sit well with them.

New group ‘they’ are hoping to form already sounds partisan. The current process worked well the first 100+ years of our statehood…when Democrats in majority. Lets let Republicans have it this next hundred and see what happens. Couldn’t be any worse than first 100.
