UPDATED: Mullin Calls for U.S. Ag Secretary Perdue to Step Down Over Beef Market Collapse

Congressman Markwayne Mullin voiced his frustrations via Facebook with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue. He calls out Perdue for a lack of response to the crisis brewing within the beef industry.

Mullin’s rant was posted Friday afternoon. The Second District Congressman is a cattle rancher and owns a restaurant. He outlines the market price disparity where prices for cattle going to market are depressed, while wholesale prices for beef are skyrocketing.

He calls for Perdue to step down as Ag Secretary and for President Trump to replace him with someone who will answer calls from Congressmen and take action to alleviate the crisis in the beef market.

You can watch Mullin’s post below. Mullin also made another Facebook video post on Sunday once again calling for Secretary Perdue’s resignation. That has been added below.

Thank you for calling on our Sec. of Ag. He needs to be fired. So agree with you.
