State Argues Against Changes to Absentee Voting Laws Ahead of Nov. Election

The state of Oklahoma has submitted its “findings of fact” to the federal judge in Tulsa overseeing the Democrat challenge to absentee voter laws. It says changes now would throw chaos into the election process.

Tulsa World’s Curtis Killman writes Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter noted in the document that Oklahoma has already conducted two elections during the pandemic.

The Oklahoma Democratic Party and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee filed the lawsuit contending the current mail-in absentee voting requirements create a danger to voters because of COVID-19.
