Socially Distanced Senate Swearing In

The Senate didn’t hold a ceremonial swearing-in for its new and re-elected senators, but they did take their oaths in small groups in the Senate Chamber on Monday. The House held their ceremonial swearing-in last week and shortly after a House member tested positive for COVID-19.

Tulsa World’s Barbara Hoberock writes because of the renovations, the floor was covered in plastic, and the chamber well and voting board also were covered.

Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat was not there due to being in quarantine after being exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
