Stitt Sets Election Dates to Replace Bice in Oklahoma Senate

As Congresswoman-elect Stephanie Bice readies to leave for Washington, D.C., Governor Kevin Stitt has set the dates for the election to find the person to replace her in the Oklahoma Senate. Bice will vacate the Senate District 22 seat on December 31, 2020.

Stitt set the filing period for December 7, 8, and 9. That leads to a Special Primary Election on February 9, 2021, with the Special General Election on April 6. If certain conditions are met after candidate filing, the Special Primary could serve as the Special General Election, i.e. only two candidates from one party file for the seat.

Senate District 22 stretches from Edmond to just outside of Okarche with parts of northwest Oklahoma City and Yukon.
