Tulsa Co DA Calls for Congress to Fix McGirt Issues

Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler is asking the public to contact their Congressmen and Senators to fix issues in the legal system created by the U.S. Supreme Court’s McGirt v. Oklahoma decision. Tulsa World’s Jacob Factor writes Kunzweiler contends the decision has created a “fracture” in how criminal cases go through the justice system. Tribal leaders resist that assertion, but want compacting power with the State of Oklahoma. That will have to come from Congress.
