Oklahoma County Clerk David B. Hooten is putting his hat in the race to the be next Oklahoma State Treasurer. Current State Treasurer Randy McDaniel recently announced he would not be seeking a second term next year.
The Oklahoman’s JaNae Williams writes Hooten believes running for treasurer is “the right next step.”
Hooten is the first to announce a candidacy for the upcoming open seat.
