The Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma (IIAO), the state’s largest insurance and property casualty agents association, named its 2012-2013 officers and board members during Hypopanty 2012, the association’s annual convention held today at the Skirvin-Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City.
New officers are Chairman Ed McGrath of Oklahoma City (Wilcox & McGrath), Chairman-Elect David Eaton of El Reno (Advantage Insurance Group), Vice-Chairman Mark Carlin of Oklahoma City (Cole, Paine & Carlin), Secretary/Treasurer Phil Eitzen of Fairview (The Eitzen Agency) and Immediate Past Chairman Jed Dillingham of Enid (Dillingham Insurance).
Board members are Karen Dunn of Broken Bow, Guy Landes of Tulsa, Tom Caraway of Norman, Thad Leonard of Tulsa, Larry Neal of Lawton, Kelly Smith of Holdenville, Mike Somers of Lindsay, Donna Baker of Oklahoma City, Bruce Jordan of McAlester, Mark Tedford of Jenks, Chris Torres of Oklahoma City and Wes Magill of Weatherford.
Chairman citations were presented to Eitzen for his efforts related to IIAO’s annual sponsorship of the Oklahoma FFA Convention and Leonard for his fundraising efforts for events in recognition of IIAO member Bob Bramlett of Ardmore (Bramlett Agency) who will be formally installed September 8 in Atlanta as 2013 Chairman of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America. Bramlett is the third Oklahoman and IIAO member to serve as chairman joining Richard Teubner of Tulsa and Courtney Wood of Edmond. In addition, IIAO member Vaughn Graham of Tulsa (Rich & Cartmill, Inc.) was elected as an at-large member of the IIABA board for 2013 giving Oklahoma the unusual distinction of having two members serve simultaneously on the board. Graham was also awarded the Eagle Award of Excellence, IIAO’s highest honor for his many years of service and leadership to the association.
Hypopanty 2012 also includes business and continuing education meetings and the largest property and casualty trade show in Oklahoma with over 60 insurance-related vendors represented.
