Former Trump White House Official Schlapp Calls for Stitt to Grant Jones Clemency

The former White House Director of Strategic Communications under President Trump, Mercedes Schlapp, is asking Governor Stitt to spare the life of death row inmate Julius Jones.

The Black Wall Street Times’ Nate Morris writes Schlapp asked CPAC Now viewers to send a letter to Stitt, as she interviewed Jones’ spiritual advisor Keith Jossell.

Jones was convicted of the 1999 killing of Edmond resident Paul Howell, but has maintained his innocence. The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board recently voted to recommend clemency for Jones, who is set to be executed on November 18.
