Shannon Wins Support of Transportation Leaders

Former Oklahoma Secretaries of Transportation Neal McCaleb and Gary Ridley are putting their support behind T.W. Shannon’s campaign for U.S. Senate. Shannon recently joined the field of Republicans vying to fill the unexpired term of retiring U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe.

McCaleb was the Secretary of Transportation under Governors Henry Bellmon and Frank Keating. Ridley served under Governors Brad Henry and Mary Fallin. Both of worked in several aspects of the transportation industry and served as directors of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.

Shannon serves on the Oklahoma Transportation Commission.

“T.W. Shannon has shown tremendous commitment to the transportation industry in Oklahoma throughout his service to our state. The transportation industry is vital to our economy. With the retirement of Senator Inhofe, Oklahoma must have a strong and committed leader who understands our transportation needs,” said McCaleb.

Ridley believes Shannon is ready to take on transportation challenges at the federal level.

“T.W. Shannon has the expertise, leadership experience, and a proven heart for transportation. There is no person more prepared, with a better record of success at both the state and federal level, who can be a more effective advocate for Oklahoma’s transportation industry,” said Ridley.

Shannon conveyed his appreciation for the former Transportation Secretaries support.

“It is such an honor to have the endorsement and support of such esteemed public servants. As the next Senator from Oklahoma, I am strongly committed to the industries that provide so many quality jobs for our state and keep our economy going,” said Shannon.
