Daily Paul Readers Debate Paul’s Announcement

Politico

While the media was quick to report that Ron Paul’s statement Monday signaled something akin to an end to his campaign, there’s a robust debate on the Daily Paul blog that reveals his supporters think otherwise.

One widely-held opinion is that the press is willfully misinterpreting Paul’s statement about his intentions.

More than a few commenters think the statement is part of a Paul campaign gambit to lull the establishment, Romney forces or the media into complacency.

Among those who read the statement as a suspension of the campaign, there’s a good bit of disappointment, not to mention disbelief.

Here’s the link to the Daily Paul thread.

As I have pointed out before, this is not entirely about Ron Paul. He is the leader of a movement towards Liberty and away from centralized state control. His movement itself is decentralized, including the leadership. If he pulled out tomorrow, endorsed Romney and had a fundraiser for him, most of us would not stop.

We are not going away. We grow in size, knowledge and skill daily. We have not only had it with the status quo we are doing something about it.

Go look at the videos of our convention. Then look at the demographics of who supports who. Now you see the future.

Very true Steve. We have grown both in size and knowledge since the last cycle and we will continue to do the same. Getting more involved, bringing new people into the party, and holding each other and our officials accountable to the principles we espouse.
