Drummond Lauds Coalition Win Against Biden Oil and Gas Policy

A Kentucky federal judge has blocked a Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) rule that would have regulated carbon dioxide emissions on roadways. It would have the effect of severely limiting the use of gas-power cars.

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond is part of a 21-state coalition of attorneys general which challenged the rule.

“Oklahomans cannot afford the high cost of the Biden Administration’s war against the oil and gas industry,” said Drummond. “I am thankful for our recent victory against the Biden Administration, and I look forward to continuing my fight against federal overreach.”

Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman filed the suit in a Kentucky federal court.

Drummond has joined several efforts to push back on the Biden Administration’s federal overreach which threatens the oil and gas industry. They include a suit to lift the ban on new liquefied natural gas exports, an EPA tailpipe emissions regulation, and an EPA rule which would create stricter emission standards on existing electric power generating plants.
