Stitt Considers Veto of Budget with No Income Tax Cut

Governor Kevin Stitt might use his veto pen on the eventual state budget if an income tax cut doesn’t make it across the finish line.

The Tulsa World’s Steve Matzer writes Stitt indicated in his weekly media briefing on Friday saying, “If you’ve really got that money to spend, let’s give Oklahomans a quarter of a point.”

While the Legislature was quick to pass a grocery sales tax cut, Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat has said the Senate won’t consider further tax relief.
