U.S. House Republicans Condemn Harris’ Border Failure

All five members of Oklahoma’s delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives voted in favor of a resolution condemning Vice President Kamala Harris for failure to secure the border and address illegal immigration. Harris is the likely Democrat Party nominee in the 2024 presidential race after President Joe Biden stepped away from the campaign trail.

It was in 2021 when Biden named Harris as his “border czar.”

“Over the past three and a half years, a national security crisis has been created due to massive surges of illegal immigrants swarming our border. In fact, since the Biden administration took office, there have been over 9.9 million illegal immigrant encounters nationwide, including hundreds of individuals whose names appear on the terrorist watchlist,” said Congressman Tom Cole. “The record-breaking numbers make it clear – the Biden administration’s ‘border czar,’ Vice President Harris, has failed to secure the United States border. House Resolution 1371 will bring to light the missteps of this administration’s open-border policies and condemns these policies for putting American lives at risk.”

Congressman Josh Brecheen agrees.

Border Czar Kamala Harris is directly responsible for allowing our country to be invaded by more than nine million illegal aliens. No matter how hard she tries, the Vice President cannot run away from the Biden-Harris Administration’s disastrous record on the border,” said Brecheen in a statement after the vote was taken on Thursday.

House Resolution 1371 was passed by a vote of 220 to 196. Six Democrats joined the Republicans in the vote.
