Mullin Applauds Thune Taking Reins of U.S. Senate

The incoming Republican majority in the U.S. Senate this week selected U.S. Senator John Thune of South Dakota as its next Majority Leader. The election of Thune has the praise of U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin.

“Back in March, I announced my strong support for Senator John Thune as our next Majority Leader. He’s an experienced leader, a good friend, and just like President Trump, he’s ready to lead on Day One to advance the America First policy agenda. I’m confident that under the leadership of Donald Trump, Leader-elect Thune, and Speaker Johnson—Republicans will finally get America back on track,” said Mullin.

Thune succeeds U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky as Majority Leader.

The Republicans gained control of the Senate in the 2024 General Election which put President Donald Trump back into the White House.
