State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters on Thursday presented the $4.1 billion budget request for the State Department of Education to the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Education. It includes $3 million for classroom bibles and $5 million to enhance protection of student data.
Tulsa World’s Melissa Jacques writes Walters also said he is looking forward to the possibility of the U.S. Department of Education being dissolved under the Trump Administration.
