Burns Pushes Legislation to Protect Oklahoma-Made Firearm Suppressors

Senator George Burns wants the Legislature to protect Oklahoma-made firearm suppressors from federal laws and regulations. He’s hoping Senate Bill 124 will advance.

“Oklahoma has a proud tradition of standing up for the rights of our citizens, especially when it comes to the Second Amendment,” Burns said. “This legislation ensures that firearm suppressors made entirely in Oklahoma are not subjected to unnecessary federal regulations intended for interstate commerce.”

To qualify as Oklahoma-made, the suppressor must be stamped or engraved with the words “Made in Oklahoma.” The materials to make the suppressor must be sourced from Oklahoma unless they are generic or insignificant parts.
