Oklahoma’s General Revenue Fund collections totaled $515.7 million in July, finishing slightly below the estimate for the first month of fiscal year 2027.
The Oklahoma Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) reported collections were $7.8 million, or 1.5%, below the monthly estimate. Collections were also $92.8 million, or 15.3%, below July 2025.
OMES said several timing and revenue distribution factors affected the year-over-year comparison. Corporate income tax and gross production tax on oil did not contribute to General Revenue Fund collections during July.
A change approved by lawmakers also shifted the full Parental Choice Tax Credit payment to August rather than dividing the payment into two installments during the fiscal year. OMES said the change resulted in less personal income tax revenue available for apportionment than in July 2025.
“July collections reflect known factors at the start of the fiscal year, not a broader revenue concern,” OMES Director Mark Wood said. “Because monthly collections can fluctuate based on when revenues are credited to the General Revenue Fund, year-over-year context is especially important.”
Wood said the July results remain consistent with expectations and the agency will continue monitoring revenue performance as the fiscal year continues.
