The Oklahoma Farm Bureau has endorsed Republican Jon Echols in the race for Oklahoma attorney general.
The endorsement was announced by the Echols campaign, which said the organization is supporting Echols because of his relationship with Oklahoma farmers, ranchers and rural communities.
“I am truly honored to have the support of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau in this race for Attorney General,” Echols said. “In the legislature, I was dedicated to making sure rural Oklahoma’s voice was heard at the Capitol, and as your Attorney General, I will continue to work with, and fight for, our hardworking Ag producers.”
Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Stacy Simunek said Echols has been a longtime supporter of the state’s agricultural community.
“We know Jon will stand with Oklahoma’s agricultural producers to ensure that rural Oklahoma’s way of life is protected, and we are proud to stand with him,” Simunek said. “He has our full endorsement to be our next Attorney General.”
Echols is a former Oklahoma House member and the Republican nominee for attorney general. He will face Democrat Nick Coffey in the November general election.
