Oklahoma Voter Registration Deadline Is Oct. 9

Oklahomans have until Friday, October 9, to register to vote or update their registration for the Nov. 3 general election. A separate deadline to request an absentee ballot is approaching October 19.

Residents can register online through the OK Voter Portal, in person or by mail.

Online applicants must have a current, valid Oklahoma driver’s license or state ID. Their information, including their registration address, must match the records on file with Service Oklahoma.

In-person registration is available at county election boards, local tag agencies and Service Oklahoma locations. Mailed registration applications must be postmarked by Oct. 9.

Voters requesting an absentee ballot must submit their application by 5 p.m. Oct. 19. Requests can be made through the OK Voter Portal or by submitting an application to the voter’s county election board by email, mail, fax or in person.

Residents who need to register or update their registration and request an absentee ballot may submit both applications together, while meeting the applicable deadlines.

More information and application forms are available through the Oklahoma State Election Board. Voters with questions can contact their county election board.
