Governor Kevin Stitt has joined the growing number of critics of President Donald Trump’s deal to buy Russian diesel.
Newsweek’s Amanda Castro and Leonardo Feldman spoke with Stitt at the recent conference in Tulsa where he said, “You have to be very, very careful about any kind of government intervention because we may be prolonging a war with Ukraine for a short-term gain. And how much does it actually improve the prices, right?”
Stitt went on to compare the move by Trump to President Joe Biden’s use of the U.S. Strategic Oil Reserve to lower gas prices.
