Oklahoma Republican Party Chairman Matt Pinnell Statement On 2nd District Race
Just this week, Democrat candidate for the 2nd Congressional District Rob Wallace sent a campaign email with the subject line: ‘Insulting’.
I can think of no better way to describe the campaign that Mr. Wallace has run over the past several months. From the constant attacks and outright lies about his opponent, to the fact that we’re just 5 days from Election Day and still do not know where Mr. Wallace stands on many issues of great importance to voters – Rob Wallace’s campaign has been one giant insult to the people of the 2nd District.
Mr. Wallace chose to run his campaign based upon a lie, there’s simply no other way to say it. Markwayne Mullin doesn’t support selling water to Texas, but that’s exactly what Wallace has said repeatedly on television. It’s so ridiculous even car dealers are mocking it!
Rob Wallace is running a negative campaign because he can’t explain to voters of the 2nd District how sending an individual to Congress to caucus with Nancy Pelosi and continue the failed Obama agenda will help get spending under control and our economy back on track. And if he can’t explain that, then why on earth would voters consider electing him?
