Apache Corp. Donates $500,000 To School Storm Shelter Fund

Members of the House of Representatives will be at the Capitol on Thursday to hold a press conference related to the $500,000 gift from Apache Corp. to start up the drive to fund storm shelters in state schools.

The press conference will be on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the media room on the fourth floor of the Capitol.

House members expected to be on hand are: Reps. Jon Echols, R-Oklahoma City; Mark McBride, R-Moore; Richard Morrissette, D-Oklahoma City; Eric Proctor, D-Tulsa; and John Trebilcock, R-Tulsa.

Apache Corp. CEO and Chairman G. Steven Farris will be on hand to speak on behalf of the company’s donation.
